1. Overview and Core Philosophy

Photo Vault + is developed by JRP Apps as a simple, premium, private personal vault app for Android. We believe your personal photos, videos, confidential documents, and private records belong only to you. Unlike cloud storage apps, Photo Vault + functions entirely on your device with no internet requirement, no accounts, and no data harvesting.

2. Data Stored in Your Vault

Photo Vault + provides secure local storage for eight personal categories:

• Photos & Videos: Stored locally in a hidden, sandboxed directory protected with .nomedia flags so external gallery applications cannot index them.
• Audio: Voice memos and audio recordings saved privately on internal device storage.
• Documents & Files: PDF, DOC, XLS, CSV, TXT, and archive files retained locally within private app storage.
• Private Contacts: Confidential contact details stored locally in your private SQLite database without syncing to the public Android contacts provider.
• Wallet Entries: Credit cards, ID cards, and memberships stored in your local encrypted/sandboxed database with masked numbers.
• Notes: Private thoughts, passwords, and memos stored strictly in your local device database.

None of these items or records are ever transmitted to JRP Apps or any third party.

3. Permissions and Justifications

Photo Vault + requests only the minimal Android permissions necessary to perform user-initiated operations:

• Media & Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used exclusively when you tap "Add / Import" to let you choose photos, videos, or documents to bring into your vault, and when you choose "Restore" to export files back to your device gallery or downloads folder. Photo Vault + never scans or monitors your gallery in the background.
• Biometric / Fingerprint (USE_BIOMETRIC): Used optionally if you choose to enable Biometric Unlock in App Settings. Biometric authentication is handled exclusively by the Android operating system's secure hardware enclave (TEE/SE). Photo Vault + never sees or stores raw biometric data.
• Screen Privacy Shield (FLAG_SECURE): When enabled in Settings, the app instructs the Android window manager to blank the app preview in the recent apps switcher and prevent screen recording/snapshots.

4. Third-Party Services and Analytics

Photo Vault + contains no advertising SDKs, no behavioral analytics, no telemetry trackers, and no third-party marketing services. The application does not include tools such as Google Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or ad networks. Standard platform update checks and diagnostic reports may be facilitated anonymously through the Google Play Store app client.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored exclusively on your physical phone, you retain full and complete control over your content:

• You can delete individual photos, videos, notes, contacts, or documents at any time. When deleted, they are permanently removed from disk.
• You can restore media and files to your public storage at any time using the "Restore to Device" action.
• Uninstalling the app or clearing application data via Android System Settings permanently purges the local vault database and sandboxed media files.

6. Children's Privacy

Photo Vault + is a general utility application suitable for all audiences. We do not collect or solicit any personal information from children or adults under any circumstances.
