Your privacy is completely protected. Phone Toolbox is built with an offline-first architecture. We do not require accounts, we do not collect personal identifiers, and we do not sell or monetize your personal data.

Overview and Core Philosophy

Phone Toolbox is designed by JRP Apps as a utility suite that runs locally on your device. The application operates without requiring you to create an account, register, or provide personal details such as your name, phone number, or email address.

Device Hardware Permissions and Data Use

To deliver specific utility features, Phone Toolbox may request access to certain device hardware features only when you actively open and use the corresponding tool. All processing occurs locally on your device:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used solely to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time and for the magnifier tool. Video streams and captured frames are processed in volatile memory on-device and are never recorded, saved to storage, or transmitted over the internet.
  • Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively by the Sound Decibel Meter tool to compute ambient noise sound pressure levels (dB). Audio samples are processed instantaneously in volatile RAM to calculate decibels and are never recorded, stored, transcribed, or uploaded.
  • Location (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used strictly on-device by the GPS Speedometer tool to calculate real-time speed, heading, and distance traveled while the speedometer is active. Location data is never collected in the background, never logged to external servers, and never shared with any third party.
  • Flashlight (android.permission.FLASHLIGHT): Used to toggle your device's camera LED torch for flashlight utility and Morse code signaling.
  • Device Sensors (Compass & Accelerometer): Used locally on-device for the digital Compass (magnetic heading) and Bubble Level (pitch and roll inclinometer).
  • Vibration & Haptics (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used to provide tactile feedback for timer alerts, level alignment, and button presses.
  • Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to notify you when countdown timers or stopwatches complete while the app is in the background.

On-Device Local Storage

Phone Toolbox stores user preferences (such as pinned favorite tools, unit conversion preferences, and ruler calibration settings) exclusively on your local device storage using standard operating system preferences. This data remains on your device and is removed when you clear app data or uninstall the application.

Third-Party Services and Analytics

Phone Toolbox does not incorporate third-party analytics trackers, behavioral advertising SDKs, or data brokers. If crash reporting or technical diagnostics are provided through standard platform services (e.g., Google Play Core diagnostics), only anonymized technical error logs are processed by the platform operator to maintain app stability.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

JRP Apps does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information. Because Phone Toolbox does not collect or transmit user data to external servers, there is no personal data shared with third parties.

Children's Privacy

Phone Toolbox is a general utility application suitable for all audiences. The application operates offline, does not require account registration, and does not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal information from children or any users.

Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy. By processing all sensor, audio level, camera, and location calculations strictly on your local device without external transmission, your sensitive information never leaves your phone.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates in functionality or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
