Your Data
Family Docs Organizer stores the information you add to the App locally on your device. This can include documents, photos, PDF files, document names, categories, family-member assignments, dates, reminders, notes, drafts, preferences, and family-profile information.
JRP Apps does not access or read the contents of your documents or the personal information stored inside them.
Documents, Photos, and Files
You may choose to add documents by taking a photo, selecting an image from your device, or selecting a supported file such as a PDF. The App accesses only the content you choose or capture for use inside Family Docs Organizer.
Draft documents may be stored when you leave the Add Document flow before completing all document details so that you can continue later.
OCR and Document Assistance
Family Docs Organizer may use optical character recognition (OCR) or similar document-processing features to suggest information from a document, such as a possible document type or other metadata. OCR is an assistance feature and may not always identify text or details correctly.
You remain responsible for reviewing and confirming information before relying on it.
Account and Authentication Services
Some optional features may use authentication services, including Firebase Authentication, to identify an authorized user or support family-sharing features. Authentication providers may process identifiers and technical information necessary to provide sign-in and security functions.
Family Sharing and Invitations
Family Docs Organizer allows you to invite family members and synchronize family document information with the people you have invited. Data is not synchronized with other users unless you choose to invite or share with them.
Invitation and synchronization services may use Firebase to securely identify users, manage invitations, and support synchronization between invited family members. Invited family members may be able to view the information you choose to share with them, so you should invite only people you trust.
Encrypted Google Drive Backup
When you choose to create a backup, Family Docs Organizer encrypts the backup and saves it to your own Google Drive account. The backup is intended only for restoring your Family Docs Organizer data.
JRP Apps does not store your document backup on its own servers and does not access or read the contents of your encrypted backup. Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's applicable privacy policy and terms.
Local Storage
Your working Family Docs Organizer data remains stored locally on your device. Documents, drafts, metadata, reminders, preferences, and family-profile information are kept in the App's local storage for normal use.
Copies leave your device only when you choose to use a feature that requires it, such as encrypted Google Drive backup or synchronization with family members you have invited.
Permissions
Depending on the features you use and your device version, Family Docs Organizer may request access to:
- Camera, when you choose to photograph a document.
- Photos, media, or files, when you choose an existing document or image.
- Notifications, when you enable document or reminder alerts.
- Internet access, for optional authentication, invitation, synchronization, backup, or related online services.
Permission requests are intended to support the related feature. You can manage device permissions from your operating system settings.
Notifications and Reminders
If you enable reminders or notifications, the App may use document dates and reminder settings to generate alerts on your device. You can change notification permission through your device settings.
Third-Party Services
Family Docs Organizer may use Google, Firebase, Google Play, and related platform services for functions such as authentication, family invitations, synchronization, encrypted Google Drive backup, security, and normal app operation.
These services may process the limited account or technical information required to provide those functions. Their independent processing is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Data Access and Sharing
JRP Apps does not read the contents of your documents. Your data is accessed by the App on your device and, when you choose family sharing, is synchronized only with family members you have invited.
Limited account, authentication, invitation, synchronization, backup, or technical information may be processed by the service providers required to make those features work.
Data Retention and Deletion
You may delete documents, drafts, reminders, and other user-created content using available App controls. Where the App provides a Delete All Data option, it is intended to remove user-created app data while retaining basic app setup and profile information needed to keep the App configured, unless the App clearly states otherwise.
Locally stored data may also be removed by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App. Information stored through third-party services may be subject to those providers' retention and deletion practices.
Security
JRP Apps uses reasonable technical and application-level safeguards intended to protect information handled by Family Docs Organizer. However, no device, storage system, network transmission, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should protect access to your device, account, backups, and any documents that contain sensitive personal information.
Children's Privacy
Family Docs Organizer is designed for general family document organization and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate involvement of a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians may contact JRP Apps with privacy concerns.
Your Choices
You control which documents you add, which permissions you grant, whether you enable reminders, and whether you use optional online, invitation, sharing, or backup features. You may revoke applicable device permissions through system settings.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Family Docs Organizer's features, permissions, integrations, or data practices change. The latest version will remain available on this page with an updated effective date.
