Privacy Policy

App Manager provides comprehensive application inventory, APK inspection, storage analysis, permission breakdown, and usage diagnostics with complete on-device privacy.

Last updated: September 18, 2026
Your privacy is our utmost priority. App Manager is built with an offline-first architecture. All app discovery, APK inspection, storage calculation, and usage analysis operate 100% locally on your device. We do not require accounts, we do not collect personal identifiers, and we never transmit your app inventory or usage statistics to external servers.

Overview and Core Philosophy

App Manager (com.jrpapps.appmanager) is developed by JRP Apps as a modern, transparent Android system utility. It gives you full visibility and management over the applications installed on your device without intrusive background tracking, advertising frameworks, or cloud dependencies.

You are not required to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal contact information to use App Manager.

Android Permissions and System APIs

To provide accurate application inspection and management tools, App Manager uses official Android APIs under strict user consent:

  • Package Visibility (android.permission.QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Required to enumerate and inspect applications installed on your device. This allows App Manager to display package names, version strings, build codes, APK file sizes, installation dates, update history, and user/system classifications. All package metadata is processed strictly in-memory on your phone and is never sent to external servers.
  • Usage Statistics (android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): An optional special permission granted explicitly through Android System Settings. App Manager uses Android's official UsageStatsManager to calculate foreground screen time and identify unused applications (e.g. apps unused in the last 30+ days). If you do not grant this permission, all other features of App Manager continue to operate normally. Usage statistics are never uploaded or tracked.
  • APK Export & Sharing: When you choose to export or share a single standalone APK file, App Manager generates a secure, sandboxed URI using an Android FileProvider. The file is shared solely through the standard Android OS system share sheet to the destination app of your choice.
  • Application Launch & Settings: App Manager uses standard Android Intent mechanisms to open installed apps or open their official Android Settings page upon your request.
  • Storage Analysis: Storage metrics (APK size, user data size, and cache size) are retrieved using Android's native StorageStatsManager when permitted by the device operating system.

What We Do Not Collect or Access

App Manager is designed with strict boundaries to safeguard your personal data:

  • We do not access, read, or collect the private data stored inside your other installed applications.
  • We do not use Accessibility Services to monitor or scrape screen content.
  • We do not require root privileges or modified system software.
  • We do not collect personal identifiers such as phone numbers, device serial numbers, or email addresses.
  • We do not upload your application inventory, installed app lists, or screen time records anywhere.

Third-Party Services and Advertising

App Manager does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics libraries, or data brokers. Your app usage patterns and installed software configurations remain confidential on your device.

Data Export and User Control

App Manager allows you to optionally export your installed application inventory as a CSV spreadsheet or structured text report. This export is initiated exclusively by you and saved to your device or shared via standard Android dialogs. You retain full control over where exported files are stored.

Children's Privacy

App Manager is a system utility suitable for all users. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Security Commitments

We employ standard Android security best practices, including secure FileProviders for temporary APK sharing, principle of least privilege, and volatile in-memory processing.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new platform capabilities or legal guidelines. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
